Video Editing

The quality of the YouTube video is good or not depending on your editing skills. So you need special video editing apps to edit videos.

I needed to edit a video a couple of days ago, but Sony Vegas started giving me compatibility issues after messing around with PC codes. This made it impossible for me to edit any video, so I had to find an alternative.

Well, for that, here are 8 video editing applications that are suitable for beginner YouTubers.

1. Adobe Premiere Pro

The average person uses Adobe Premiere Pro software to edit videos because it has powerful features to support editing activities. Unfortunately, Adobe Premiere is a paid application.

However, because this feature is complete for editing videos, it’s not a problem to buy this professional video editing application.

2. FlexClip

You can use FlexClip video maker for educational, professional, and personal needs. It simplifies work and increases video production efficiency. Using this video maker software, you can easily edit YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok videos. Add animated text effects to videos or make them go viral with their presentation style.

FlexClip is an online video-making and editing software that anyone can use because it requires no exceptional experience. It means that even a beginner or someone with an intermediate-level skill can also edit videos easily.

FlexClip does not require complicated installation and does not require a high graphics computer to produce high-quality videos, and the price is lower than other video editing software.

3. Apple iMovie

Apple iMovie is an application with features that make it easy to edit videos. Many beginners choose this application for editing videos.

However, unfortunately, this application is paid. And you can only use it on Apple devices.

4. ClipChamp

If you are already used to using professional video editors, you will find yourself at home here. ClipChamp’s online editor has a well-organized interface, with a timeline, tracks, and several options to import videos, text, images, backgrounds, transitions, and all this with a multitude of templates and a catalog of media that we can use for our video creations.

At the functional level, it is without a doubt one of the best free online video editors without a watermark that we can currently find. Where is the trick? The only negative aspect is that it only allows you to export videos at 480p SD resolution, making it necessary to upgrade to a paid plan in order to be eligible for better image quality. It also requires registration, although we can use a Google or Microsoft account to sign in.

5. Kapwing

Kapwing allows you to edit videos and export them without watermarks, as long as the video does not exceed 5 minutes and weighs less than 250MB. You can use the editor without a login but export the video without a watermark.

Compared to other similar online tools, the truth is that it offers the most favorable conditions. As if that were not enough, the interface is the most complete, full of tools and functionalities—one of my favorites.

6. Shotcut

Shotcut is another video editor which is slightly superior with support for 4K video. Supporting a numeral of audio and video formats, transitions, and effects is just one of the great features of Shotcut. It suports external monitors also.

You can quickly start your video creation from the collection of video tutorials on its website. Shotcut is available for Linux, Windows, and macOS, so you can also use them on other operating systems.

EZGIF is a website that includes a large number of multimedia editing tools. It is mainly focused on the creation and editing of GIFs, but it also has several utilities for video editing.

More specifically, the 4 video tools that it incorporates are:

  • An online video cutter.
  • A tool to reverse videos.
  • A video trimmer.
  • A tool to rotate videos.

They are very simple utilities, but they can come in handy if all we need is to make a very light edit on the video. It is free, without registration and does not leave watermarks, but only supports files of a maximum of 100MB.

8. OpenShot

OpenShot is a versatile video editor for Linux. You can create videos with transitions and effects and adjust audio levels. Of course, it supports most video formats and codecs.

You can also burn movies to DVD, upload them to YouTube or Vimeo, and export them in many standard video formats. If you need a video editor with a simple UI, OpenShot is a good choice.

Final word

Those are some of the best video editing apps for beginner YouTubers that you can use on your favorite PC or laptop. I hope this article is helpful.
