If the laptop device is not connecting to the network then you should verify the issue. Because some issue is very common then you can try to resolve this issue manually. If you wish to manually resolve the issue, then you can follow some ways.

Restart the d’link WiFi router again

If the laptop is not connecting to the dual-band networking router then you should check the issue. If you wish to manually resolve the issue, then you can restart the router. Before restarting the router, you should unplug the power cord & Ethernet cable from their port. Then you have to verify the power button in this router to turn off the router. The power button will place on the back panel of the router. You can smoothly press this button for 6-7 seconds. Then, your router is turned OFF.  After 10 minutes, you can plug the power cord into the power connector of the router. Then, again press the power button and turn ON the router. After that, your laptop will easily connect to the wireless router.

Renewal IP address of your router

To manually resolve the issue, you can renew the IP address of your dual-band router. Sometimes, this IP address is not working then it is not working. If the IP address is not working then your laptop device is not connecting to the router. You can easily fix the issue by renewing the IP address. You can visit the setting of the router. In the advanced setting of the router, you will find out the IP address field. In this field, you can enter the new address in the proper manner. After that, click the save option and accurately save the new IP address. Now, the IP address is a change for this networking router. You can use this IP address and try to connect the laptop to the network. 

Disable WiFi security 

Sometimes the wireless security encryption creates the issue. Many times due to wireless security the laptop device is not connected to the router. To manually resolve the issue, you can disable this security. You can use 192.168. 0.1 and insert into the web interface. Then, you can use the login admin password and properly log in to the account. You can visit the wireless setting of this router. In this setting, you can select the security option. Under the security option, you can verify the status. If this security is to enable then you properly disable this security. After that, your laptop device is easily connected to the WiFi network. 

Reposition the laptop device

Many times, your laptop device is too far away from the router. If the router & laptop device is more distant then it does not connect to the router. To manually resolve the issue, you can verify the distance. You can place your laptop device too close to the router. If you place your laptop near the router then you will get better network signals so that your device will easily connect to a WiFi network.

Verify the firmware version of your Dlink Gigabit WiFi Router

If the firmware version is outdate of your wireless networking then it is not working and your laptop device is not connecting. To fix the issue manually, you should verify the firmware version. You can use the router’s IP address and insert it into the search field. Then, you can visit the advanced setting and select the firmware upgrade option. With this option, you can easily verify the version. If the version is outdate then you can use the latest firmware file and quickly update the latest firmware version.
